BSF Sub Inspector Recruitment 2023

The Border Security Force (BSF) has released a notification for the recruitment of Sub Inspector (SI) posts. The total number of vacancies is 34, out of which 22 are for the Works Wing and 12 are for the Water Wing. The eligible candidates can apply online through the BSF’s official website, rectt.bsf.gov.in, from 10 July 2023 to 22 July 2023.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the BSF SI recruitment 2023, the candidates must meet the following criteria:

• They must be a citizen of India.
• They must have a diploma in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or electronics and communication engineering from a recognized institute.
• Their age must be between 20 and 28 years as of 1 January 2023.
• They must be physically and mentally fit to join the BSF.

Selection Process

The selection of candidates for the BSF SI posts will be done through the following stages:

• Written Examination
• Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
• Medical Examination

Written Examination

The written examination will be a multiple-choice question (MCQ) based exam. The exam will be conducted in two parts: Part I and Part II. Part I will be of 100 marks and will be held in English and Hindi languages. Part II will be of 200 marks and will be held in English only.

Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

The PET will consist of the following events:

• 100 meters run
• 800 meters run
• Long jump
• High jump
• Pull-ups

Medical Examination

The medical examination will be conducted to check the physical fitness of the candidates. The candidates will be required to undergo a thorough medical examination, which will include tests for vision, hearing, blood pressure, and other physical parameters.

Salary and Benefits

The selected candidates will be appointed as Sub Inspectors in the BSF. The starting salary of a BSF SI is Rs. 35,400 per month. The salary will increase with the promotion of the candidate.
