Job Title: Staff Nurse

Location: Silchar, Assam, India
Job Type: Full-time
Department: Nursing / Patient Care
Reports to: Medical Superintendent / Ward In-Charge

About the Role

We are looking for a caring, responsible, and qualified Staff Nurse to join our dedicated nursing team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care, support doctors in medical procedures, and ensure the smooth running of daily ward and clinical activities.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care to patients in accordance with hospital policies and professional standards.
• Monitor, record, and report patients’ vital signs, conditions, and responses to treatment.
• Administer medications and injections as prescribed by physicians.
• Assist doctors during medical procedures and rounds.
• Maintain accurate and updated patient records and charts.
• Ensure cleanliness, safety, and infection control within the ward and patient areas.
• Educate patients and their families about care plans, medications, and post-discharge instructions.
• Support emergency and critical care situations as required.
• Participate in nursing audits, continuous education, and hospital training programs.

Qualifications and Requirements
• Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) or B.Sc. Nursing from a recognized institution.
• Must be registered with the State Nursing Council.
• Minimum 1–2 years of clinical experience preferred (freshers may also apply).
• Strong communication, observation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented hospital environment.
• Flexibility to work in rotational shifts, weekends, and night duties.
